“When the winds of change blow, some build walls, others build windmills.”
Chinese Proverb
It happens. Whatever you call it. Cheese moving, excrement occurring, tsunami events, and gradual entropy.
Change.
Those who spend their energy to fight it, to build fortresses to escape it, lose.
Those who capture the energy of it, win.
Because change IS energy.
Once an individual, small business, or giant corporation decides they’ve reached the pinnacle and all they need to do is maintain their position they’ve already lost their edge. They’re now investing energy into not dying, instead of living. Investing energy into staying safe, instead of innovating. Investing energy into “new and improved” instead of “brand new and exciting.” They’re dying from the inside out.
But when an individual, small business, or giant corporation is always looking for a new way to add value, always seeking new ways to be relevant, always turning this innovation into a platform for the next revolution, they’re living. On the edge. Out loud. Large. They’re riding the storm and figuring out how to get the waves to carry them exactly where they want to go.
The winds of change are blowing. Will you wall yourself off and hope for the best? Or build a windmill to fuel your dream ?
